Official & Recommended Submission Method
The Online Cursor Editor is the official and recommended way to submit cursors to Cursors-4U.
If you want to submit your existing cursors, you can simply drag and drop your
.curor.anifiles (as well as standard images like.png) directly into the editor workspace to load, review, and configure them for submission.Future Update: We are currently working on a batch-import tool to allow mass importing of multiple cursors into the editor workspace for a quick mass submission of sets and single cursors.

Site submission is live but closely monitored. Submissions land in a secure moderation queue and are reviewed manually by site administrators before appearing on the public library listings.
Submission Modes
When you click the Submit action button in the editor, a dialog box opens with two distinct tabs depending on your workspace:
Use this mode to upload one standalone cursor (whether static or animated) containing whatever canvas sizes you drew. The system packages your frames and multi-sizes into a single, compact cursor file. A Windows role selector sits in this tab, so you can set or change the cursor's role (Normal, Busy, Text, and so on) as you submit without going back to the workspace. Changing it here updates your workspace copy too, so a cursor never shows two different roles.
Automatically active if your workspace contains multiple items. Lets you upload up to 20 cursors as a unified package (e.g. arrows, hands, text pins). You can customize names and map Windows system roles for each item. If the cursors are not actually a matching set, use the separate cursors option described below to submit them as a batch of standalone cursors instead.
Separate Cursors vs. One Matching Set
The Cursor Set tab is also the fastest way to send in several unrelated cursors at once. Above the cursor list is a checkbox — "These are separate cursors, not one matching set" — that switches how everything you upload is treated.
Your cursors are published together as a themed set with its own set page and a Windows install file. Confirm the role and name for each cursor; moderators decide which members also get their own standalone pages during review.
Each cursor is reviewed and published as its own standalone cursor. No set page and no Windows install file are produced. Roles become optional and are simply kept as each cursor's own information, so nothing you picked is lost.
Roles are worth a note here. In set mode the editor gives you soft, non-blocking hints: it flags duplicate roles — only one cursor per role can go into the Windows install file, and the reviewer picks which — and lists any standard roles you have not assigned yet. Partial sets are welcome, so these are nudges rather than errors. In separate-cursors mode those hints disappear, because no install file is generated.
Whichever option you choose, it is a declaration, not a final decision. Moderators can still change how a submission is published during review.
Metadata Form Fields
To make your cursor discoverable and clear, you will need to fill in these metadata fields:
Give your cursor or set a clear, descriptive name. This will become the public header on its library page and is used to label downloads.
Explain your cursor design, inspiration, or drawing details. A rich description helps moderators approve your submission much faster.
Select an appropriate license model. You must have the rights to grant these licensing terms:
Creator name is required (2-200 characters) — it is the attribution that travels with your work, so every submission carries credit. If a cursor had more than one author, separate the names with commas. The portfolio URL is optional; it must be a valid
http(s)link, and multiple links can be comma-separated to match multiple creators. The moderator uses both to link and attribute public creator profiles on the site.Add a comma-separated list of keywords. The finalization engine merges these tags with AI recommendations to catalog your cursor in the library index.
A mandatory checkbox confirming that you are the original designer or have obtained the explicit license rights to share these files.
Submission Limits
To prevent spam and ensure stable queue speeds, submissions are rate-limited to a maximum of 5 uploads per hour and 15 uploads per day per designer. Because one set submission can carry up to 20 cursors, there is also a cap of 60 cursors per day across all of your submissions.
