      How do I make a custom cursor? +
      Pick a canvas size (32×32 up to 256×256) and draw with the pencil, shapes and fill tools. Set the hotspot (the exact click point), then export a Windows .cur file — or submit it to the Cursors-4U library. Read more in the Getting Started guide.
      How do I turn an image into a cursor? +
      Drag a PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG or GIF onto the canvas. The editor places it on the cursor grid so you can clean up edges, select Lanczos or Nearest-Neighbor resizing, and set the hotspot, then export it as a .cur — an easy way to convert a logo, photo or pixel art into a mouse cursor.       How do I make an animated cursor? +
      Add up to 64 frames in the timeline, draw or import each one, and set the per-frame delay (ms). Onion-skinning shows the previous frame so motion lines up. Export the result as an animated .ani cursor for Windows. Details are in the Animation Frames guide.
      What is a cursor hotspot? +
      The hotspot is the single pixel Windows treats as the “tip” of your cursor — where the click registers. For an arrow it’s the point (0,0); for a crosshair it’s the center. Place it precisely before exporting. Read more in the Multi Sizes and Hotspots guide.
      What file formats do Windows cursors use? +
      Static cursors use .cur and animated cursors use .ani. The editor exports both, including multi-size .cur files so your cursor stays crisp at every display scale. Check the Exporting Cursors guide.
      Is it free? Do I need to download anything? +
      It’s completely free and runs in your browser — no install, no sign-up, nothing to download. Your work stays on your device until you export or submit it. Read about local autosaving in the Saving Drafts guide.
      How do I save my cursor project? +
      The editor automatically autosaves your active cursor canvas and layers to your browser's local IndexedDB database every 15 seconds. This ensures you do not lose any pixel progress if you close or refresh the tab. Read more in the Saving Drafts guide.
      Can I design a full cursor set at once? +
      Yes! Click the "Full Set" button in the left workspace sidebar to automatically load all 16 system cursor roles (like arrow, link select, text select, and busy) in your project deck. Once styled, export the entire set as a Windows-compatible ZIP archive. Check out the Cursor Projects & Sets guide.
      How do I edit an existing .cur or .ani file? +
      Simply drag and drop any pre-existing .cur or .ani cursor file onto the drawing grid. The editor extracts all frames, click hotspot coordinates, and resolution sizes so you can edit and re-save them. Check the Image to Cursor guide.
