About Cursors-4U

One of the web's premier cursor libraries, serving the customization community since 2004.

Our Story & Legacy

Cursors-4U originally began in 2002 as a resource site operated without a dedicated domain name. In those early years, the platform focused on helping users personalize their profiles on pioneering social networking sites like AsianAve, MiGente, and BlackPlanet.

In 2004, the project officially secured its own domain name. Cursors-4U was founded by a team of three people: Tor, Krazim, and Rigor, who shared a vision for making creative web personalization accessible to everyone.

Over the last two decades, Cursors-4U has grown from a small group's resource portal into one of the internet's oldest and largest active cursor libraries, serving billions of requests and downloads in the last 20 years, and archiving over 11,000 unique designs.

Rebuilt for the Modern Web

We spent six months rebuilding Cursors-4U from the ground up—starting in 2025 and finishing in February 2026—to ensure it remains the best customization resource for the next generation of creators and bloggers. The platform features:

  • Online Cursor Editor: A powerful, browser-based editor that lets you draw, animate, and publish static or multiframe cursors without installing any software.
  • Lightning-Fast Search: Powered by Typesense, allowing you to instantly search, filter, and discover designs across our catalog of 11k+ cursors.
  • Instant HTML/CSS Embeds: Ready-to-copy codes for static or animated cursors, with tailored guides for popular platforms like Tumblr, Blogger, and Neocities.
  • Modern Responsive Design: A clean, mobile-friendly interface equipped with a beautiful dark mode to protect your eyes.
  • Browser-Based Favorites: A privacy-first local storage system to save, organize, and manage up to 1,000 of your favorite cursors.

Supporting Original Creators

Cursors-4U is built on community creativity. We are committed to properly crediting artists, animators, and designers. With our dedicated Creator Profiles, designers can showcase their work, build a following, and distribute their graphics under clear license models (such as CC0 or Creative Commons).

If you find an uncredited cursor in our library and know the original author, or if you would like to have your own work credited or removed, please get in touch.
