I logged into tumblr today for the first time in two years, and noticed none of our cursors or images were working. After some digging, I noticed that tumblr is forcing all static images and files to redirect to https web address.
So I installed LetsEncrypt. However it's superslow compared to a normal http protocol. I am trying to figure out how to improve the speed. The website serves millions of files a day, I think it will be bad for the server (Just change DNS, so don't know the full impact yet). Leave a comment if you know how to speed up LetsEncrypt over NGINX web server.
Also all cursor codes have been updated to include https. Also this site does not have HTTPS yet. There were problems when I tried to implement this years ago. The file servers will be SSL for now, but the main site will not.

Something happen to our server on January 13ths and caused the server to pretty much drop dead. Everything from our files and website itself couldn't be reach. Took 6 days, and help from Steven over at Rack911.com to finally restore most of our functionality.
I am still working out a lot of bugs. Please bare with the random disconnects and server issues for a bit. Thank you all.

Well today with a help of a friend, I was finally able to figure out what the heck was wrong with our images. It was a DNS issue that caused images to point to the wrong server. All fixed now. Images and cursors should be loading now. Thanks.

The server is down. I am trying to get this fix ASAP.
Most everything is backed.
Edit:3:10PM 1/30/2016 I am in the process of restoring some lost cursors. Looks like we lost 50 or so.

First update in a long time. But our file server is down. That means you can't download or use cursors on this site until it's updated again.
I'm trying to get things up and running again.
Edit: 10AM PST
Server appears to be back online.

I am fully aware that pages are not loading on Cursors-4U.com.
As for why they are not loading, I am working on it. T_T What a bad start to an already gloomy day. I'll keep you guys updated.
Edit 2:11 PM PST
Looks like things are getting back in order. My HDD was full from backups. So I had to delete some. Everything seems to be okay now. Still testing though...

Okay it looks like according to my server management company that I have some bad HDD drives. I'm guessing this is going to cause some down time. We are looking at some solutions.
Edit 1:46 PM PST 5/18/2013
Apparently it's spam e-mail from one of our sister sites that is causing problems. It's being worked on now. But because of this, I think I will be upgrading my HDD. Going to get a SSD for the entire server which should speed up the site as well.

Okay everyone, I finished moving all 30,000 files to the new server. And I must say things are pretty snappy. It seems to be going really fast. The new host for our cursor files is wholesaleinternet.com They been in business for 10+ years and offer some great rates. Our previous two host, Datashack.com and Superb.net have been great through the years that I have use them. I would like to thank them for their business.
If you see any problems, missing files and what not, please let me know so I can double check on it. Thanks a lot guys.

Hey guys, I haven't been updating lately because I am in the process of updating the file server. I got a brand new server with more memory and way more bandwidth and speed.
This way I can concentrate on the website instead of having to worry about how much bandwidth you guys are draining everyday. And it's a lot. We server over a trillion cursors since inception of this site.
The new dedicated server will have 4 Cores, 8gb of Ram, Plenty of Harddrive space, and most important a lot of bandwidth. Hopefully this will be set up in the next few days.

Our "Ani" file server seems to be down. Ani is our 2nd server for hosting cursor files. Our first server "Cur" seems to be up and running fine. I have reported the problem to my webhost and waiting on their reply. It could be a network outage or something else is up.
Ani currently hosts around 500 cursors. Cur has over 11,000 cursors I believe, so that one should be fine. Basically our newest cursors that have been recently added our not working. I'll keep you guys updated...
EDIT: 10:31 AM NEXT DAY
Looks like the problem hasn't been resolved by my host yet...So disappointing. They haven't reply to me in 14 hours. So I guess I'll be looking for a new host for our 2nd server.
For now I have temporary moved all our cursors from the "Ani" server to our "Cur" server. So for those that were using cursors from the ani cursor, just replace the url, which went something like this "https://ani" to "https://cur"
